Holly Humberstone

Commissioned by Universal Music Group, this film was directed for Holly Humberstone’s Elvis Impersonators. Shot in a single day across the streets of Kabukicho and Shibuya — the chaotic heart of Tokyo — the piece mirrors the emotional rawness of the track with stripped-down visuals and instinctive framing. Every moment was captured on the run, blending the noise of the city with Holly’s quiet presence.

This wasn’t a production with marks and setups — it was instinct, movement, and timing. Led by Hiro, the shoot leaned heavily on improvisation, reading light and texture in the moment. The goal was to echo the song’s emotional weight without forcing a narrative. Just Holly, Tokyo, and a camera — letting presence, not polish, carry the story. Her performance needed no help; our job was simply to follow, feel, and frame it right.
